WEEK OF 9/16/19
  • Garden Monday at lunch - join us in the raised bed garden, sowing flower and vegetable seeds.
  • Environmental Awareness Assembly Monday - by class, periods 2-5.
  • PSAT Registration - The PSAT will be on Saturday, October 19th at 7:45am at SVHS. Sophomores and Juniors can register on a first-come, first served basis from Sept 16-Oct 11.  To sign up bring $25.00 cash or check (made out to SVHS) to Leigh Jones in the front office between 7:15am and 3:15pm.  Sorry, no refunds given in the case of cancellation.
  • Travel to Spain- Parent and student information meeting Thursday, Sept 18th at 6pm.  Find out more about the linguistic and cultural immersion trip to Madrid and Barcelona.
  • Haunted House Make Up Auditions are Wed, Sept 18th after school. Register at svhaunt.org/register BEFORE the audition.
  • Junior Class Lip Sync - if interested in participating head to Ms. Silva's class Thursday at lunch.

  • Fall play "The Bold, The Young and the Murdered" auditions are Monday, Sept 23rd.  Please prepare a one-minute comedic monologue.  Sign up for an audition spot in the drama room E201 at lunch after school. Questions go to Miss Kannegaard.
  • The Community Service Faire is on Thursday, 9/19

  • The Club Faire is on Friday, 9/20; talk to Christina Culp by the end of Thursday to get a table.

  • ASB's Chipotle fundraiser is on Sept. 28 from 4pm-8pm at River Street location in Santa Cruz

WEEK OF 9/9/19
  • Picture Make Up Day is Tuesday, Sept 10th during break, tutorial and lunch. Look for white tent next to the gym.
  • Rumble in the Jungle - Girls Volleyball has their first league game against Santa Cruz Tuesday, 9/10 - JV at 5pm and Varsity at 6:30pm. Show your support by dressing in your best jungle attire.
  • GSA is having their first club meeting Sept 9th and then every Monday at lunch in MS. Carey's room, M12. Contact Raven V for more information.
  • Haunted House- auditions start this week. Thriller is on Wednesday, 9/11 after school in the quad and tour guide is on Thursday, 9/12 at lunch in room C501.  Make sure to register at svhaunt.org/register

  • Tickets for dance will be sold after school today and tomorrow  ($1 w/ ASB, $3 w/o, $5 at the door)

    • NOTE: Student government is taking Song suggestions at the Student Store during Break and Lunch 

  • The Freshman Class Bake Sale is this Saturday from 4-7:00 PM at Scotts Valley Market

  • Respect Week is coming up, 9/16-20

  • Club Information Meeting this Friday, 9/6 at break in Ms. Fisher’s room (C302)

    • Come to start a club and/or get a Homecoming Carnival Booth

  • The Good Baked Goods Club is having a meeting today at lunch in room C703

    • There will be coffee cake

  • Interested in a trip to Peru or Spain in June of 2020? Both trips are service, learning, and cultural exchange programs. Come to Ms. Spitzer’s room in C601 tomorrow 9/6 at lunch to learn more about these opportunities.

  • Haunted House auditions start next week! Thriller Dancers are on Wednesday 9/11 and Tour Guides are on Thursday 9/12. If you plan to tryout, make sure to register at svhaunt.org/register before the audition date.

  • Teachers who have Freshman are conducting the Freshman Class Officer elections using the Google Form link on the Student Government page.
